I hope this finds you well.

I have been busy writing a lot this week. Below are links to some of the articles I wrote on Medium.com.

This week was spring break for my grandchildren. My boyfriend and I took them on a ferry ride to the San Juan Islands.

The weather was perfect. We walked around Friday Harbor on San Juan Island and explored the cute town and marina. We had lunch at San Juan Island Brewing Company, which was amazing.

It was one of those times when it felt like God’s arms were wrapped around us, and He was pouring His care and healing into their young lives. They had recently suffered some severe and devastating losses, so it was greatly needed.

It is such a joy when we can pour into the lives of those around us who are hurting. You want to take the hurt away, but you can’t. But you can offer love and kindness that acts as a healing balm. It is bittersweet.

But I’m feeling so grateful for that day, I’ll always remember.
