It’s so nice to reach out to you again this week.

One of my highlights this week was meeting a new ‘friend’ on Medium over a Facebook call. We talked for the first time, which was nearly an hour long. It was so fun to meet a new friend. I love the upside of technology.

This week, I had a fascinating conversation with someone about our hearts' ability to stretch (I picture a balloon) and expand to include others. It is a choice, but if we open ourselves to that, our hearts increase to include.

I see it like this: When you have your first child, you love that child SO much. Then, when you have a second child, sometimes there’s a fear that you won’t be able to love the second as much as the first. Then, when they are born, somehow you just do. And it doesn’t reduce the love you have for the first child. There was a stretching and multiplication of love, not a reducing and division.

This concept doesn’t relate to simply mother / children relationships. It can be with any, but about really letting them into your heart.
