Greetings my Medium Friends!

I hope this finds you thriving this week.

I’m glad Father’s Day is over, is always a hard one for me. I’ve been estranged with my dad for many years due to severe childhood abuse. So Sunday was kind of a tearful day, one of grieving again.

On a lighter note, I picked my boyfriend up from the airport after his being gone nearly a month. I was SO good to see him again. He has two trout ponds with lots of huge fish, and we had several power outages, one caused his pumps to fail, so I had to troubleshoot electrical stuff (I’m NOT mechanical at all), to get those working so his fish wouldn’t die. Thankfully, none perished, so he was thrilled.

There’s so much more I could write on Medium, about life and family but feeling that tension of not wanting to potentially hurt family or friends who might recognize situations, while I write under my real name. Do you all feel that as well?

I just joined a gym and did my first weight lifting workout today. I’ve lifted weights in the past, but have gotten away from it, so time to start again. I’m going to do this workout recommended by this doctor for older woman. I thought it quite interesting, perhaps you will too:
