Hi,

I hope you are having a great week so far and continue to do so.

I just had my 12-year-old grandson over for the weekend to celebrate his birthday. It was awesome, but wow, I’m feeling my age, guess its’s called a Grandma hangover. But it’s good.

It was very rainy this weekend, so movies were also on the agenda. I’ll put a little unheard-of gem (for us) below. I thought it was a great movie and he enjoyed it too (see below).

We also explored some cute antique shops in Snohomish, Washington, this weekend. It’s so odd when things in an ‘antique’ shop are things you remember as a child.

Grandson saw a landline phone for the first time and was very curious about it. I showed him an old typewriter my mom taught me to type on as a child. It was an old Underwood, and it had this unique smell. I loved that scent, and I’ll always remember that.

We are nearly into May. Do you have any special goals or projects you would like to see completed by the end of May?

Here’s a positive affirmation for today: My mind is a garden of creativity, blooming with unique ideas and endless possibilities.

Here is the little gem of a movie we watched this weekend: Zoo. It is a true story about a boy in Ireland who is charged by his dad to take care of a baby elephant during World War 2. I hadn’t heard anything about this movie, so it was a real delight for us. We loved it. You can find it on YouTube if you want to watch it.

Have a fantastic week.

See you next week!
